About the project

A clearer view of New Zealand elections

NZ Polls is an independent data product for following national polls, party-vote trends, parliamentary seats and coalition arithmetic.

What we do

We compile source-linked published polling, calculate a transparent average and translate vote scenarios into MMP seats. The aim is to answer the electoral question quickly without hiding assumptions or turning model output into certainty.

What we do not do

NZ Polls is not affiliated with the Electoral Commission, any party, pollster or news organisation. It does not tell people how to vote and does not claim that a polling lead is an election result.

Editorial boundary

We publish focused tools and analysis for current polling, party comparison, the MMP system and government formation. Historical records and polling-organisation notes remain available as a research database rather than separate search pages.
